My name is Peter Berlin and I'm a 28 year old aviation addict based in Orlando, FL. I grew up in Cleveland, OH during the Continental Airlines hub days and came to associate flying with adventure. Every plane and every airport was (and is) an opportunity to see new places, meet new people and learn new languages.

In 2020, I took a leap into the general aviation world and earned my private pilot's license. It was an incredible experience to learn more about the technical side of flying and it has given me an immense appreciation for the time, planning and effort that goes into orchestrating the operation & maintenance of aircraft.

Although I never aspired to be a commercial airline pilot, I did want to find my way into the aviation industry somehow, and finally did in 2023, when I joined an FBO network based out of Orlando. The FBO world is a little less visible to the flying public but still tremendously important in facilitating business, trade, tourism and even diplomacy around the world.

My goal with flaps 10 is to bring the world of aviation to life. We highlight the airports, airplanes, airlines, and most importantly, the PEOPLE, who get us from point A to point B safely and with a smile. That includes everyone from the people you see - pilots, flight attendants, gate agents, etc. - to the people you don't see - maintenance, baggage handlers, dispatchers and more. There are so many unique stories and personalities out there, so next time you're traveling, don't be afraid to engage with your crew - there's typically more to them than meets the eye!

Flying is a privilege - and I realize not everyone is blessed with the time, money or health to step onboard a plane - so if you're one of those people who doesn't fly often or doesn't fly at all, I hope I can unlock the inner aviator in you, even if it's from the comfort of your living room. Hopefully you'll learn a thing or two, or just be entertained by a random guy making a fool of himself vlogging in airports!
